Knit a Royal baby

Knit your own Royal baby…

Put the latest trend of knitting with the fact that a Royal baby is due in July and what do you get – well a knit your own Royal baby of course! Knit a Royal baby

I would be tempted to ask who on earth would knit their own Royal baby – and why? – except knitting your own Royal Wedding became fashionable when Kate and William wed, with knitted figurines of them in their wedding garb. So as Royal baby mania hits this summer, I would imagine quite a lot of people would in fact be interested in doing this…

Hence, Fiona Goble, the knitting genius behind the hugely popular Knit Your Own Royal Wedding, has eagerly picked up the knitting needles once again to welcome the latest addition to the Royal Family and bring you the exclusive free pattern for Knit Your Own Royal Baby.

Fiona says, ‘In preparation for Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge’s new bundle of joy, I’m very happy to announce the arrival of my own little woolly royal. It’s been a privilege to prepare this ‘little extra’ for the Catherine and Will dolls in my book and I hope I’ve captured a good likeness!’

From early May, for a limited time only, she will be offering the complete package (instructions for the Kate and William dolls, their new outfits, and the baby pattern itself) as a free download from www.ivypress.co.uk.

Apparently the patterns and designs are mindful of appealing to both novices and experienced knitters alike.
