Since Featureworld interviewee Alison was conned out of her £120k life savings to a scammer she met online, she has had her story appear in two national publications and has now told her story to millions on national television programme, ITV’s This Morning.
Alison appeared opposite Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford and alongside eSafety Consultant Karl Hopwood, discussing how her story unfolded – from splitting up with husband David, topping up “Steve’s” mobile to having to sell her home and parting with a total of £120k of life savings.
Alison is now working things out with husband David and hopes that by appearing in national publications and on TV, that she can warn other women of the potential dangers of online relationships.
