Frequently Asked Questions.

What is The Magazine?

Getting listed on The Magazine - Sell Your Story

We are an online magazine designed to bring together people and businesses that work within the UK media industry. The magazine aims to promote a better understanding between professionals working within the various media sectors of newspapers, magazines, television, Public Relations, blogging and books. At the same time it aims to help students wanting to learn more about each sector, freelancers and to help those starting out in business to gain exposure.

What makes The Magazine special?

As well as being run by a publicist and journalist - giving you free advice you can trust - already on the site, there are thousands of posts on a huge range of subjects. Many posts already appear very high in the Google results, regularly appearing in Google News results - and whenever a post is made on this site, it is indexed immediately. Even we are often surprised how fast Google reads what we are writing about!

How do I submit an IN THE NEWS story?

With thousands of people visiting the site every week, many of whom are editors working within the industry, if your press release is chosen to appear in the magazine, this gives you the best chance that your news will be seen by the right people. Simply email your press release to us. Try to include relevant photos with your story along with contact details. Every press release is considered but due to the high volume received we are unable to print every one.

How do I get featured on Author Spot, Website Spot or write a guest article?

Whether you are still a student, looking for your first job or an established business seeking to raise your profile, we we will consider your story. Simply send a synopsis of your story, plus a photo of yourself, to us at The Magazine. Note that preference is given to those guest articles that are informative and will help others. So, an article about your day as a trainee or how you started up your company or tips on how to write a book are more likely to make an article on the site as a guest piece than obvious business plugs. Obvious business puffs that do not fit with the theme of our site (writing, novels, authors, newspapers, magazines, blogging...) are not accepted. However, if you aren't a writer, don't despair. If you send us your story and we think there is potential, we can email a template of questions to help and knock your writing into shape to create a professional article for you.
