Alison is fully qualified and accredited by the NCTJ (National Council for the Training of Journalists) and has also been a journalist for over 25 years. A specialist in selling an interviewee's story safely, during this time she has worked closely with thousands of interviewees to ensure their stories are accurately told in articles and features printed worldwide.
Alison says: "I know how daunting selling a story to the press can be. That's why I set up my website and this site, SellYourStoryUK.com to enable people to read for themselves the storoes behind the headlines see what selling a story involves."
While Featureworld always works within the Editor's Code set out by the PCC, it has always held further ethical policies when it comes to selling stories to magazines, newspapers and television.
* All Deals are put in writing.
* Stories are only sold with an interviewee's written consent.
* All copy is read back to interviewees prior to publication and may be recorded.
* We work with interviewees to ensure their story is told as they wish it to be told.
* All stories are assessed as to whether it is in the public interest they should be printed. If a story does not fulfil these criteria, or it is not in the interests of the interviewee for the story to be printed, it is turned down.
* Although Featureworld is a news, feature and press agency, we have never and do not undertake any 'doorstepping' activities or other similar.
Since September 2011 Featureworld has been a family-run business and we aim to sell stories for individuals as we would want them sold if it involved one of our own family.
